Helen – Witch

Shameless Italo disco with a hint of the sinister about it, thus making its title somewhat apt. Not sure I can imagine a witch quite this groovy, but then I’ve never seen a picture of Helen.

The track is in a somewhat off-piste 6/4 time signature during the “verses”, which for music boffins is enough to get the chin-stroking gloves out. For the rest of us it’s not especially important, but you can whip it out in front of your friends (the fact that is) if you ever catch it on a dancefloor and look REALLY musical and stuff. You could even claim Patrick Moore is the one on the vibraphone at the 3:56 mark if you want, though strictly that would be a fib.
