There are occasions when Marcus and I will communicate with each other solely by way of the 4/4 house drum pattern, like a sort of simplified, emotive version of morse code. Just the other day, he sent over this house mix he’d done, the implication being that hidden between the beats was a love letter of sorts, declaring his affections if only I could decipher them.

Well I’ve heard the whole thing and the overwhelming impression I get is one of sultry dancefloor sordidness – but I need a second opinion. Care to have a listen?
